Privacy Policy for Maker’s Margin

Maker’s Margin is a Chrome extension that helps custom-work makers (woodworkers, leatherworkers, and similar artisans) calculate pricing for their projects. We take a simple approach to privacy: we don’t collect anything.
What data we collect
None. Maker’s Margin does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information, usage analytics, or telemetry of any kind.
What data you create
When you save a project in Maker’s Margin, the project details (name, materials, dimensions, hours, notes) are stored locally on your own device using Chrome’s built-in chrome.storage.local API. This data:
- Never leaves your computer
- Is not transmitted to us or any third party
- Is accessible only to you, in the browser where you saved it
- Is deleted when you uninstall the extension or clear your Chrome storage
Third-party services
None. Maker’s Margin does not use Google Analytics, error tracking services, advertising networks, or any other third-party services.
Permissions we request and why
storage— to save your projects locally on your device. Required for the extension to remember your work between sessions.
Children’s privacy
Maker’s Margin is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age.
